P.T. Montessori School was founded in 1985 in Toronto’s Old Weston Village and was named Weston Montessori School. The school provided a 3-6 Primary program for 6 years before it added a 6-12 Elementary program in 1991.
In the spring of 2003, the school changed its name to P. T. (Parent-Teachers) Montessori School.
When people asked us to describe our school, we found it really challenging to express our vision in a few words. Perhaps it is because P.T. Montessori School offers more than just an authentic Montessori Education, which includes a daily French program for both the Primary and Elementary levels. We recognize the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of children and their families. We offer an experience where parents, teachers and administration work hand in hand to prepare children to become compassionate, responsible, contributing members of society. At P.T. Montessori School, we serve the nature of the child, placing emphasis on character development as well as academics.
